Datto RMM Integration

Connect Datto RMM to synchronize device inventory (make, model, serial) and warranty dates into WarrantyWizard for automated reporting.:contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

Prerequisites

Admin Access	Administrator access to Datto RMM
API User	Dedicated API-only user (recommended)
Credentials	API Key & API Secret generated in Datto RMM
API Base URL	Region-specific (choose the URL for your Datto region)

Security Tip: The API Secret is shown only once — copy it immediately and store it in a password vault.

Step 1

Create an API User & Generate Credentials in Datto RMM

Log in to Datto RMM as an Administrator.
Navigate to Setup → Users.
Click + New User (or edit an existing one) and set the role to API User (or Full Administrator if required).
Save to generate your API Key and API Secret. Copy both and store securely (the Secret is shown only once).
Identify your API Base URL for your region (you’ll need this when connecting WarrantyWizard).

Step 2

Connect Datto RMM to WarrantyWizard

In the Invarosoft portal, go to Settings → WarrantyWizard → RMM Integration.
Select Datto RMM as the vendor.
Enter your API Base URL, API Key, and API Secret.
Click Test Connection to validate access.
Click Save & Start Sync. The initial ingestion may take a few minutes depending on device count.

Troubleshooting

401/403 authorization errors: Confirm the user is an API User (or has adequate rights) and the API Secret matches the generated key.:contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
Wrong/unknown Base URL: Ensure you’re using the Datto region-specific API URL for your tenant.
Connection OK but empty inventory: Verify devices exist and are visible to the API user; wait for the first sync window or trigger a manual sync from the portal.
