ConnectWise RMM Integration

ConnectWise RMM can sync device inventory (make, model, serial) into WarrantyWizard so you can generate automated warranty insights and reports for every client.:contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

Prerequisites
Admin AccessAdministrator access to ConnectWise RMM portal
API AccessAbility to create an API Key in ConnectWise RMM
Registered DevicesDevices must be enrolled in ConnectWise RMM for inventory sync
Minimum PermissionsRead access to device inventory (e.g., “Read Devices”)
Step 1

Create an API Key in ConnectWise RMM

  1. Log in to the ConnectWise RMM portal as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to System → API Keys (sometimes under Integrations).
  3. Click New API Keyand set:
    • Name: WarrantyWizard Integration
    • Permissions: include at least Read Devices (add more if required by your policies)
  4. Save and securely copy the generated API Key. Some fields are shown only once — store them in your password vault.
Tip: If key scopes are too restrictive, inventory sync may be incomplete or fail. Adjust to include device inventory read access.:contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
Step 2

Connect ConnectWise RMM to WarrantyWizard

  1. In the Invarosoft portal, go to Settings → WarrantyWizard → RMM Integration.
  2. Select ConnectWise RMM as the vendor.
  3. Enter your API Key (and any additional required fields shown by the form).
  4. Click Test Connection to validate access.
  5. Click Save & Start Sync. Initial ingestion may take a few minutes, depending on device count.
Troubleshooting
  • 401/403 authorization errors: Recreate the API key ensuring it has permission to read device inventory.:contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
  • Partial/empty inventory: Confirm devices are registered in ConnectWise RMM and the key has the correct scopes.:contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
  • Connection succeeds but no data: Wait for the first sync window or trigger a manual sync from the portal; verify that the Base URL/tenant context (if prompted) is correct.
