Setting up the

ConnectWise REST Integrator Login for ITSupportPanel

To complete Step 2 of the Invarosoft Setup Wizard, and to integrate with your ConnectWise installation we need you to configure an integrator login (API) account for use by ITSupportPanel.

The following instructions will assist you in performing this configuration in your ConnectWise environment and identify the information required during the second step of the Invarosoft Setup Wizard.

Step 1

Login to your ConnectWise with an admin-level user account, The REST API logins can be created using either the desktop application or the website portal.

Step 2

Navigate to System > Members.

Step 3

Select the “API Members” tab

Step 4

Click the + (add) button.

Step 5

Set a Member ID & Member Name (leave the time zone on your default)

Step 6

Set the System settings to their highest level, we interrogate configuration settings in ConnectWise so lower levels will cause errors in the integration. (the below settings will not match yours)

Step 7

Leave the Service Defaults blank.

Step 8

Click Save

Step 9

Navigate to the “API Keys” tab that will appear after you save then click the + (add) button

Step 10

Give the API Key a description, we recommend dating the description as you may choose to cycle the key later.

Step 11

Click Save

Step 12

An API Public & Private key will be generated and displayed, copy these down somewhere as the private key will NOT be displayed again

Step 13

Done.

You have now completed the API setup requirements. The details you will need for the wizard/PSA config in ITSupportPanel are as follows;
