Secure Verifications & Secure Messages

Faster approvals, stronger identity checks, and a safer way to exchange sensitive information through the user’s registered device.

The service desk problem

Support teams often need a quick, reliable answer without starting a long phone call or sending sensitive information through ordinary email.

IT Control Panel gives engineers a direct way to verify users, request authorization, and securely deliver information to a familiar, branded prompt on the end user’s registered device.

FEATURE 1

Secure Verifications

A fast security checkpoint for identity confirmation, authorization, and direct user responses.

Response options include:

  • Yes / No
  • Approve / Decline
  • Short verification code
FEATURE 2

Secure Messages

A safer way to deliver temporary passwords, access details, or other sensitive information.

The recipient opens the message using a short code. The content can be copied when needed and disappears after use.

How Secure Verifications work

1
Open Secure Verification in IT Control Panel.
2
Search for the user connected to the registered device.
3
Choose the response type and write a clear request.
4
Send the prompt. The user responds from the branded notification on their device, and the engineer sees the result in IT Control Panel.

Practical use cases

Identity verification

Send a code to the registered device and ask the caller to read it aloud before processing an account change or sensitive request.

Remote access approval

Ask the user to approve or decline an engineer’s request to connect remotely to the device.

After-hours authorization

Confirm that an authorized decision-maker accepts an after-hours support request and understands that additional charges may apply.

Temporary credentials

Deliver a temporary password or access detail through a secure message instead of spelling it character by character over the phone.

Ready-to-use prompt examples

Remote access:
May I remotely connect to your PC to troubleshoot your printer issue?
Identity check:
We are sending a code to your registered device. Please read the code aloud to the engineer assisting you.
After-hours approval:
John Smith requested after-hours support. Additional charges may apply. Do you approve this request?

Four practical benefits

1. Improved security
Stronger identity and authorization checks, with less reliance on ordinary email or verbal exchanges.
2. Faster support
A clear response or short code can keep the ticket moving without repeated calls and follow-ups.
3. Better user experience
Users receive a recognizable, branded prompt on a familiar device and can respond without confusion.
4. A more modern operation
Informal service desk actions become repeatable, structured workflows that are easier to use consistently.

Suggested service desk practices

  • Keep prompts brief and specific.
  • State exactly what the user is approving or confirming.
  • Use verification codes before sensitive account changes.
  • Avoid placing permanent passwords or unnecessary personal information in messages.
  • Document the result in the relevant PSA ticket when required by your internal process.
