Setting up the
Kaseya BMS Login for ITSupportPanel

To complete Step 3 of the Invarosoft Setup Wizard, and to integrate with your Kaseya BMS installation we need you to configure a login (API) account for use by ITSupportPanel.

The following instructions will assist you in performing this configuration in your Kaseya BMS environment and identify the information required during the second step of the Invarosoft Setup Wizard.

1. log in to your Kaseya BMS web interface with an admin-level user account.

2. Navigate to Admin at the top menu

3. Navigate to the Security > Roles menu

4. Create a role named “Invarosoft ITSP” with the type of “Internal” and the status of “Active”.

Click save then move on to the next step below before doing anything else.

5. Expand the “Admin” section of the Permissions list.

6. Click the checkbox that appears next to “Has API Access” under “Special Features”.

No further settings are required in the role configuration.

7. Save the Role.

8. Navigate to HR > Employees

9. Click “New” to create a new employee.

If you require an additional licence, please contact your Kaseya Account Manager and request a “$0 BMS user licence for integration use”. If you have any issues getting that licence from Kaseya, please reach out to our sales team for assistance with your account manager cc’d into the email.

10. Complete a new employee as follows. You may use your own values here as long as the Security Role is ‘Invarosoft ITSP’, you use a valid email address & set external is set to ‘No’.

11. Save the new Employee.

12. Obtain a password for this user by clicking “Reset and Email Password” under Password Management.

You have now completed the API setup requirements. The details you will need for the wizard are as follows;

Site The hostname (NOT full URL) of your Kaseya BMS server

Company Name Your Kaseya BMS company/tenancy name

Username The username configured in step 11 above

Password The password you receive via email from step 13 above

NOTE: In most cases, the “Site” will be bms.kaseya.com, this value will be pre-filled for you. Only change this value if you know it to be incorrect in your situation.
