How To Copy and Edit a Webform
This task involves duplicating an existing webform and modifying to suit your needs. The goal is to efficiently create a new form based on a pre-existing template, saving time and ensuring consistency. This process is useful for updating forms, creating variations, or reusing successful designs.
Please note that you can share the WebForms via different methods:
1) Share the URL
2) Place it in the Client portal either as an independent menu or inside a Service Catalog
3) Place it under a Button Collection
Step 1
Click on CXInvarosoft>> ITSupportPanel >> Forms>> Web Forms
Step 2
Click on the Copy Button to create another copy of the same webform or click on The Edit Button if you want to modify it.
*Remember, the new web form will be created in the same folder as the file being copied, under the same name of the web form and an additional copy in the name: Name (copy1)
Step 3
Complete the Webform Settings
Step 3.1
You can add header instructions or documents to the webform instructions using the "Instruction" field. In it, you can add a video, change the color of the paragraphs, align, and change the font format, among others.
Step 3.2
Don't forget to choose the appearance you want the form to look like, otherwise it will be displayed with the default appearance.
Step 4
Select your Ticketing Options. Please keep this in mind.
Public:
An email will be sent to the address you have designated in the email address field, and you will be able to view it via the URL, which you can also copy to send in emails or place on any page.
Private (Log A Ticket For Authenticated User):
This can only be viewed from the customer portal and the app, meaning it is for registered users only, and therefore, it cannot be viewed through the URL.
Check the square button Public/Private (Allow Public Submissions When User Not Authenticated):
It allows you to copy and view the URL from anywhere. Also, it will create a ticket, and if it fails because the user is not authenticated, it will send an email with the ticket information to the designated email address to ensure it is not lost.
Step 5
Click on Add Question
Step 6
Give it a name, Then Select the Prompt Type and complete the rest of the fields.
*To add more questions, repeat steps 5 and 6 as many times as necessary.
Step 7
When you finish adding questions, click on the Save button
Step 8
Additional step: If you want to review the Webform submissions, go to the Report Button
Step 9
Additional step: If you want the URL of the Webform, go to the URL Button.
